What a morning!!

Tressa and I were at the lowest of lows this morning as Angela hit the 2 week mark at Harborview without regaining conciousness.  As Angela's physical injuries heal it is harder to see her incapacitated.  But- In our darkest of hours the Lord always shines through to encourage us and remind us that we are not walking in this season alone.

Tressa and I spent a good part of the morning crying together and wondering what was to come.  I gave Pastor Adam a call and asked that he and Pastor Cliff come out just to talk.  And BAM! Just like that when we feel that we have no more energy, Angela opens her eyes for 15 minutes.  She is so strong!  She focuses and follows us with her eyes.  She looks around the room and we tell her how much she is loved and that she is safe.  What an absolute blessing.  God's continues to heal Angela and he continues to give us hope and strength.  Please continue to pray for Ang!!!

I hate to say that I missed it, but while I was outside walking with Pastor Adam and Pastor Cliff, another miracle happened.  The occupational therapist came in to work with Angela.  That sat her up today and she supported herself.  When she started to tip over, she extended her arm to stop her movement.  Eyes open again and focusing on the therapist, the therapist tells Ang to give her a thumbs up if your name is angela. (She gets the thumbs up!)  Therapist says give me a thumbs down if your name is not Judy. (She give her the thumbs down!)  She then extender her arm and hand several times to touch the therapists hand when she asked her to.  I can't believe I missed it, but it brings the truest tears of joy to my eyes that I have ever known!  Baby steps...  Baby steps..  Breathe...

They are supposed to put her in the cardiac chair again and I can't do anything but hope and pray that she opens up those baby blues one more time today.  We try to be patient but it is so hard.  Our hope and prayer is that God continues to work miraculously in this and that Ang will be able to go to rehab on the 4th floor here by the time she is ready for discharge.  She needs to be able to participate for 3 hours of PT, OT, and ST a day to be accepted.

More to come......

With Love-

Josh
