Ang slept from 7:30 last night until about midnight and then in hour spurts until about 7.  She had a couple of restless periods but managed to calm her racing brain down and fall back to sleep.

Ang had PT early today.  Her cousin and mom were with her while I tried to get some sleep and fight off the exhaustion.  I didn’t hear my phone ring a couple of times, but it was Ang giving me a call from the hallway!  She was walking all the way from the PT gym to her room, which is at the other end of the building! Probably a couple hundred feet.  I opened the door to her room to see her at the end of the hallway waiting for me.  She was walking with the PT ladies at her side and using the normal cane.  I didn’t realize at first that she had walked from all the way from the other end of the building.  ANG- I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! (We’ll be having our “second” first dance in no time, Babe!)  On top of all this she did the seated elliptical for another ten minutes before her walk.

Ang met with speech therapy later on in the afternoon.  He had her go through a check writing exercise.  (Ang does all of our bills and maintains a meticulously accurate ledger.  She also tracks everything on a spreadsheet for each month. She is so “type A”.  She had no problem writing the checks and while he went to go and get a calculator for balancing the ledger Ang did all of the math in her head!  I love how she always blows the guy away.

One of Ang’s childhood friends came by today to read to her.  Ang had her reading some of the Psalms.  Ang began to tell her about Mars Hill and how wonderful it was.  I love how my wife, even in the midst of all this, is still on mission and not afraid to promote the Gospel.

We have a follow-up appointment at Harborview tomorrow so it will be another big day.  Ang had no trouble at the hospital last time, but the wait for transportation back to the SNF was a nightmare.  Not sure if we are going to be able to transport her ourselves this time around.  If we have to go the cabulance route please pray that they are timely!
