Last night was RESTFUL! ! !   Ang went to sleep at 8:30pm, woke at 1:30 to use the restroom, went right back to sleep, repeated the behavior at 3:30, again at 5:30 and was ready to wake up about 7:30.   We were dressed and ready for the Harborview outing by 8:30 and off by 9:00am.

Harborview really caters to emergencies (thankfully when Angela was one; not so thankfully when you are trying to engage her to wait for doctors running late).   Both the face and the eyes appointments were positive.  Everything is going as it needs to.   The left side of her face should return 100% and her vision is a perfect 20/20.   Because one appointment was at 10:00am and the other at 2:00pm we had lots of time to kill at Harborview.

Ang got to be transported to the appointment via her own car.  While this made her car sick, she tolerated it rather well and it was a lot more convenient than waiting for the van.   HURRAH!

After the first appointment, we went to the cafeteria.   As you know food has not been high on the list but today Angela ate half of Josh's grilled cheese sandwich so I went to get him another one and she ate half of that one too.   It really hit the spot! ! !   While at lunch, the woman who runs the Rehab Unit just happened by and recognized us.   She had a delightful conversation with Angela and invited us back up to tour the Rehab Unit.

Off we went....Angela did extremely well in her "intake interview"  ... as Josh and I were quite aware that the woman was doing an assessment as she toured Angela around.   The lady deemed Angela most likely ready for Harborview as early as late next week so we shall see if all the puzzle pieces fit together and what that might look like.

We took Ang up to the ICU unit to see if we could find any of "our" nurses.   This was harder on me than I thought it would be.   A flood of memories overwhelmed me as I entered those hallowed halls.    No one at the nurses counter was familiar but Angela did not know this and thanked them all for taking such good care of her - through tears! ! !   As we rounded the corner, we did run into a nurse that did take care of her and the nurse was TOTALLY ASTOUNDED at the progress Angela had made.   We had another tearful exchange as Angela thanked her for all her care.

It was an action packed day - not with therapists - but with emotions, stamina, and new things (like car rides).   So exciting!
