Ang is actually watching a movie for the first time since the accident so I am filling in on the bridge tonight. She had a very active day. Lots of therapy as usual and a lot more progress.
The PT was very impressed by the progress that Ang made over the weekend. (Walking without assistance and getting up and down safely) and the fact that she stood during all of the worship music before and after service last night. Ang had her work cut out for her during both of her PT sessions today. First session Ang worked on walking while balancing a beanbag on her foot. She also kicked the soccer ball around and did some arm exercises. The PT was very excited by the amount of movement that Ang is regaining in her left arm. Second PT session today Ang worked on stairs again. She worked in the stairwell here in the West wing of Harborview. She went down three flights of stairs and right back up without taking any breaks. She did all of the walking with very minimal assistance. Way to go, Ang! She also got to work on her balance by playing Wii bowling for a bit. Seemed like she was having fun.
OT ran a little short today due to a special visitor that Ang had. We were fortunate enough to have Pastor Mark from MHC come and visit with our family and pray with us. It was very special to us that he made the time to visit despite all of his other responsibil ities. Thanks, Pastor Mark! We are VERY blessed to be a part of such a wonderful church family.
We have our next big meeting with the rehab team tomorrow so we will see how that goes. I think that the meeting might firm-up Ang’s tentative discharge date.
Pre tty tired so I am going to keep in short tonight. I know I am probably missing a bunch of stuff…
Mo re to come-
