Hola!
Nothing big and fun to report about the last few days - except that my formerly lacerated kidney has healed completely. So that's good. And I got my first ever that I can remember IV when I went in for the kidney test. They injected some weird radioactive juice into my arm and then watched it as it went through my kidneys and into my bladder. I tell you one thing, that was the biggest pee that I've ever taken was when that test was done! It was my first and hopefully only Austin Power's pee. Whew!
That's about the only thing noteworthy from this week. There have been other little successes like upping weight/reps in the gym. And sometimes upping both. I also turned up the tension on the torture device last night. Woo hoo! More pain!
That's about all I've got. Besides wondering if anybody is reading this even more. If you are out there lone-reader, leave me a comment so I know you exist, please. Just don't want to be typing for the sake of typing. Let me know if you're enjoying it too or getting anything from it. Definitely want to keep it up if it's serving somebody in some way.
Okay. Thanks.
Ang

I read every day, little Miss! You leave me speechless most of the time. Today's post was especially moving. I always respond to bladder emptying stories as you know. You are an amazing person and I admire you, love you!
ReplyDeletelove,
lu (Madame)
OK, I get two posts today. I know others read, because I was asked for the link from someone at work today and they wanted to catch up on how you were doing.
ReplyDeleteI love the much more cheery post today...!
Cari and I made a meal last night that made me think of you. Especially when you were in the hospital and Josh had to help clean you up...
You see this was some blended spinach, racotta (sp?) cheese, mushroom soup, mushrooms, meatballs, parmesan(sp?), and chili flakes... When it was all blended together, it looked like something the Hulk would poop....!!! A very bright green pesto looking stuff, almost flourescent green.
That with some ribon pasta and bread... next time we decided it needs lots of garlic, therefore thinking of you.
Made me laugh thinking about Josh having to change that diaper...!
Your blog is read every time you update and we are applauding you and Josh everytime we do. Our prayers continue your way.

Yes, I read several times a week, too. Thank you for everything that you're sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's me Maia, Ang. I still read everytime you have a new post. I know I'm just downstairs, but I like reading the details of your progress written by you. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Maia~
I'm reading! Also celebrating all your victories and praying for joy.

I'm reading as well! We've never met (and so I've never commented), but I want you to know that God has been working in my heart and life as a result of His work in your own life during this challenging season. I'm still learning what it means to suffer faithfully in light of God's grace despite the evil and pain that we face everyday. Please know that you are prayed for and appreciated!

Hi Ang, I read all of your entries. We all want to know how you're doing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading each post and feel blessed to partner with you in prayer through this journey. You're absolutely awesome and it's a joy to call you a friend!
ReplyDeleteLoves,
Hannah
Angela, this is Paul Elsass, the GM of the Darwin Fitness Center. Hey, I know I only introduced myself when you stopped by recently, and honestly I think we never really met before your accident because I had only been here for a short time. Anyway, like I told you, your story, as it unfolded, was one of the most tragic, yet inspirational realities I have ever experienced. The most incredible part, is the faith that you and your family have had. I know it doesn't seem to have the same weight to you as it does to us, outside the event, but you have to know that you and your family have had a massive affect on the lives of the rest of the world. You had the chance, through your faith in Jesus to reach out to others in a way that the rest of us never will. When people see the hope that you have, even in the darkest of times, they realize that there really is a reason to think about their belief systems. I am confident that you have provided new hope, and LIFE for many, many people, and that is truly awesome!
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, I understand that you are angry, sad, and worn down. We do not expect you to be a super hero. You are a human being, who has suffered. Yet, know that God will never give you more than you can bear. You have so many friends and family members who love you, and who enjoy being there for you. My friend, at the end of the day, I can promise you that when the time comes, at the end of our days, you will hear those words, "Well done, good and faithful servent", and that is worth everything! Please feel free to let me know if I can ever help in anyway!
Paul Elsass
I'm here (your downstairs neighbor - how are ya? :-)). I don't write here because I don't want to bore you with my quotes and comments (((hugs))) but I love reading about your recovery and how things are going with you. I laugh and cry with you. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I hope it helps you - like keeping a journal.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read that you had figured out a way to be thankful for your accident, I cried and said to myself "RIGHT ON ANG!" That's a huge step in recovery. We are all sad, mad and depressed at times and that's ok. Difficult emotions will always come and then go if we let them. But our Savior is one thing we can always be thankful for. "Keep your eye on the prize." xxxooo
Another reader here, too. BTW, light takes 8 minutes to reach the Earth from the Sun, and the Earth is approximately 6000 km (6 Mm) in radius, so the circumference is about 36 Mm. Common knowledge, right? ;)

Hi Angela,
ReplyDeleteI'm reading! I subscribe to your blog on my google home page RSS feed - so your headlines are right up there with MHC Ballard, The Resurgence, Bible Gateway Verse of the Day, and the Lio comic and Wiki How-To of the day. Your story is the most personal and inspiring of them all! We've never met, so I've never commented, but I do want to tell you that when you shared your sadness and dissapointment that 'you couldn't be the wife to Josh that you wanted to be' - that really tugged my heart because I often feel that way, too. And I have no bicycle accident to blame - just myself idolizing my perfection and image rather than God.
So please keep up the blog and know that we are reading, being blessed and inspired, and we are praying for you and Josh.
Sweetheart I read the blog every time you post!!!! I have been reading it since day 1. Even though I don't get a chance to talk to you or see you as often as I would like, it is so wonderful to get to hear how you are doing!!! I am so proud of you and am praying for you every night. I just saw Steph Veka last night and she reads the blog, too, btw!!! In fact, dollface, I think a lot more people than you know are out there reading and being inspired by your incredible strength and faith. You are amazing. I love you!!!!
ReplyDelete-Amber
Thanks for all the replies. Definitely makes me want to keep the blog up. Great motivation! Especially the hulk poop comment. :) I love it!
