I will have you know that she requested Bob Marley and it is playing as I type this.   I tried to turn it off so I could go to sleep and she got all fussy....turn it back on ... she is quiet.....

She told Josh she wanted to go home with him when he told her he was going home to feed the cats.   That is a heartbreaker when you can't give her just what she asks for.   I needed reminding when I was wrestling with her to leave the tape on her IV alone.   She wanted it off and she was bound and determined to make it happen. Took some creative repositioning to distract that one and it probably won't last for long.

There was a small piece of velcro on the wall which she picked at until she ripped it right off.   Nothing is sacred or off limits....reminds me of my life when she was age 2....so inquisitive, so busy, so full of surprises....

Can you actually believe that one week ago she had not yet woken up?   Now she is opening both eyes, focusing, recognizing some people, giving kisses and hugs, talking, and eating.  In her OT/PT evaluation today, she still could not sit up on her own.   She could brush her hair, wash her face, wash her legs, put on her slipper and take it off.    She did not have a lot of stamina so we will see what the doctor conference results are.    We may be moving soon!

All your cards, notes, and pictures grace the walls here and fill the room with love.   You are all so appreciated and necessary to this healing process.    Keep up the good works - your prayers and thoughts are making a HUGE difference.
